Week #28........

First & foremost we HAVE A NAME! I gave Nick until the end of May to help me with a name....nothing I suggested he would agree to & didn't give me any other suggestions, so I guess I'm naming him myself! Myles Mathiew Ardemagni!!!! =)

Today I went for my 6th appointment....the dreaded blood glucose test! I had to drink this nasty orange drink that tasted like flat orange soda with LOTS of salt haha......had 5 minutes to drink it, then had to wait an hour before they checked my blood! I was the first this morning to pass the test, I was glad!! While waiting I saw Dr. Clouatre, I had gained a big EIGHT pounds since my last appt, total weight gain is at 17 pounds now! I was a little over 20 pounds at this point with Chanlyr!! Myles' heart rate was at "148 with hiccups" as the doctor said! The doppler thing kept going up as he would hiccup!! Must have been that nasty orange drink, cuz I hadn't had anything to eat or drink except that since I had to fast....which about killed me! I was STARVING when I got out of there at 10am!! I would have normally had breakfast AND a snack by that time!! lol Anyways....my measurements were right on track. I asked him about lifting things (Chanlyr) if it was okay......he said it couldn't be helped having a 1 year old, but to try & limit my lifting with him, and to rest & get help whenever possible. He said Nick should be informed of this =) I will BE SURE to tell him, believe me!!

I start going every 2 weeks now, so my next appt is June 21st @ 10:15am!

We are hoping to start working on the nursery VERY soon! Airplanes are the "theme" as of now, that is subject to change until we actually order the bedding!! We'll see........ =)

24/25 Week Appt!!

Yesterday was my "24" week appointment, even though I'm 25 weeks.......I'm a week off schedule on my appointments!! Mom & Chanlyr went with me since Nick can't get out of school. My blood pressure was great and I had finally put on some weight! 6 pounds since my last visit!! A total of 9 pounds!! Dr. Clouatre's words were "here you are 2/3 of the way pregnant and your finally gaining weight!!" haha My chart was marked wrong and yesterday was supposed to be my glucose test, and it said I was 30 weeks prego!!?? Not sure what happened, but he thought I had "missed" an appointment........I said NOPE!! So I'm back on schedule and go in 3 weeks for my blood glucose test on June 7th 8:30am (made it early cuz I have to FAST!!) Baby's heart rate was 140BPM and my belly measured right on track! I've been having some sharp back pains so I asked about them and he said it was just a muscle either stretching or having spasms, nothing to worry about & Tylenol should help!
We still haven't decided on a name yet........but I gave myself & Nick a deadline of the end of this month, so hopefully by my next post I will have a name for our little baby boy!! Then hopefully start working on his nursery!!

Today was my ultrasound and my 20 week appt. We got there at 10am, they weighed me (I gained 3 pounds) and my blood pressure was great! They started the scan at about 10:10, she said I was one of the easiest she's ever had, being little and having an active baby!! She was done and ready for the gang (Nick, Chanlyr, Mom, & Brenda) to come back at 10:30 to do the fun part!! He was definitely NOT shy!! haha We didn't get any good face shots because he was face down (breech position) so that was disappointing, but we may decide to do a 3-D at 28 weeks if we wanna pay $150!!! After that excitement we had to wait a while for my regular appt, Dr. Clouatre said everything was PERFECT! Boring, no excitement just the way they like it =) Baby measured perfect and normal, and I was only 2 days off of my due date, but he said they wouldn't change it. So now we are just thinking of names and ideas for his room!! Definitely won't need to buy too many clothes!!! My next appointment is May 17th at 11am!!

Boy or Girl? At home gender test!!!

This morning I took the $30 IntelliGender test!! It is 82% accurate........the results were a little confusing at first! The majority of it was the girl color, but the very bottom of the tester was the boy color!! So I took some pics and went on their website and they had some sample pics to compare to, and the second I saw them I knew mine matched COMPLETELY with the girl!! The boys were all smokey green throughout the whole thing very dark and dominant!! The girls was orangish-yellow and all of them had that darker color at the bottom I guess where the chemicals/crystals had just settled or something! So for now I'm going with girl!! Guess we will find out April 19th if it was correct or not!! I'm not gonna go out and buy anything pink or purple just yet, I was for sure confirmation!! But I've talked to lots of people that have done the test and everyone so far says theirs was accurate!! Even if its wrong I don't think it was a wasted $30....it was fun anyways!! =)
